Bill Scavone, MA
Graphic Artist, Medical Illustrator
Bill has been a member of the IML staff since May 2000. He designs graphical interface elements for IML programs, 3-D graphical elements, 2-D animations and scripts program activities and animations in *Tamale*. He designs printed packaging materials and assists in the design of IML's online presence.
He is a Certified Medical Illustrator and holds a Master of Arts in Medical and Biological Illustration from the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (1998). He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in General Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute, College of Art (1993). He is a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators and his illustrations have won awards in the salon exhibitions of both organizations.
Bill enjoys swing dancing (Lindy Hop), telemark skiing, snowboarding, hiking in the White Mountains in all seasons and conditions, and riding his motorcycle. He teaches drawing at the AVA Gallery and Art Center in Lebanon, NH.
