Leslee Stein-Spencer Chief, Division of Emergency Medical Services and Highway Safety Illinois Department of Public Health Leslee Stein-Spenser, Trauma Nurse Specialist and Basic Trauma Life Support Instructor, has been the Chief of the Illinois Department of Public Health, Division of Emergency Medical Services and Highway Safety, Springfield, IL since 1986. She has been involved as In-house Registry Staff Nurse-Emergency Department at the Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, IL since 1983. Ms. Stein-Spenser has been appointed to multiple committees including the Governmental Affairs Committee; Board of Directors, Liaison for Central States, Liaison to American Trauma Society; and Co-Chairperson, Trauma Committee of the National Association of State Emergency Medical Directors. In addition, she has been involved in the Illinois Emergency Health Care Team, Stakeholder for Weapons of Mass Destruction, Illinois Public Health Association including the Injury Control Section, American Society of Testing and Materials, American Public Health Association, Governor's Task Force on Occupant Protection, and Board Member for the Illinois Trauma Association.
